Daimler Fined $30 Million for Delaying Truck Recall

According to Reuters, Daimler’s North American truck division agreed on December 31, 2020 to accept a civil fine of 30 million US dollars to end its survey on delayed truck recall.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration stated that after the agency launched an investigation of approximately 464,000 vehicles in April 2018, Daimler’s North American truck department failed to recall the trucks on time or comply with the reporting obligations.
